Portable Systems for Rapid Detection of Environmental Pathogens

Ciencia is developing a number of systems for on-site rapid detection of environmental pathogens and for on-line sensors to quantify bacterial counts in certain process effluents. Compact, rugged, low-power instrumentation is being developed at Ciencia. Fluorescent reagents are being developed in collaboration with Martek Biosciences and with the Coastal Environmental Laboratory of the Marine Science and Technology Center of the University of Connecticut.
